Critical Velocity to Kick Off Loganville Town Green Concert Series on Friday

Concert attendees at Friday's Groovin on the Green in Loganville are invited to wear their best 80s gear, and biggest 80s hair, to groove to Critical Velocity's 80s music.

The first of the Loganville Groovin on the Green Concert Series is set for 7 p.m. on Friday at the Ray Nunley Pavilion. Concert goers are invited to take a trip back in time by dressing up in 80s gear, including their best big hair, to get into the groove with Critical Velocity.

"And bring your appetite," said Councilwoman Michelle Lynch on hearing that several food trucks will roll up to help feed the crowd.

Councilman Rey Martinez said they have organized several different food trucks to cater to everyone's taste.

The following options will be available.

1. Nana Gs- Chicken Waffles

2. Pup Truck- Gourmet Hot Dogs

5. Primo Ice- Shaved Ice Cream

6. Mighty Meat Ball- Meat Balls etc

7. Speed Zone Truck

Mayor Dan Curry said tables can be reserved for $100. The tables can seat up to eight people. People are also welcome to bring their own lawn chairs or sit on the general stair seating. To reserve a table, call City Hall at 770-466-1165.

The next concert is scheduled for Sept. 20 with the Sock Hops and Oct. 19, at the close of the Autumn Heritage Festival, with Funky Bluester.
