Waring Announces A Run for Loganville City Council

Loganville - GA 'Eileen Waring works for YOU!'

Former Councilwoman Eileen Waring is not sitting on her laurels in the city she loves!  After a long deliberation and speaking to residents about their needs in the community, Waring has announced her intention to qualify and run for office once more.

Having served two terms on City Council previously, Waring used her background in Finance to assist build the city’s financial reserve in preparation for the current economic turn. During her terms, this was done without tax increase or a cut in services from the city.  She claims that this fiscal responsibility will continue when she takes office in November.

“It’s a matter of the COMMUNITY’S vision at work- I know that I possess the leadership and finance experience that citizens expect. Knowing that I represent THE PEOPLE, I also know that their needs are not so complicated: we all want to have the highest levels of services, protection and representation in our local government, for the lowest possible cost.  I learned how to do that in the corporate world, applied it successfully in the city of Loganville as a Council Member, and look forward to doing so again!  I believe, as the citizens I've spoken to do, in a government BY THE CITIZENS.  And that’s who I am- I live, work, play, worship and volunteer in Loganville, and it would be my privilege to represent others who feel the same.”

After retiring from a 30-year career as a finance and administrative director, Waring went to work as administrator for the Walton County Sherriff’s Department under Joe Chapman. She is current President of Kiwanis of Loganville and has served as a volunteer with Walton Quality Growth, Loganville “TRIAD”, the VFW Women’s Auxiliary, Habitat for Humanity and more.
