Fight Ensues After BB Pellet Hits Neighbor's Cat; Woman Sought in Halloween Theft

The Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls from Oct. 24-28 in Zones 5, 6 and 7.

Zone 5

Damage to Property – Extra patrol was requested in reference to damages being made to the subdivision sign in Alcovy Ridge.
 
Fraud Report – A report was made on Plantation Ridge Court in reference to someone fraudulently using the complainant’s debit card without permission.
 
Illegal Dumping – A large mound of trash was dumped on Paul Burson Rd.
 
Fire Assist – Three brush fires were extinguished on Highway 78, Tipperary Circle and Youth Monroe Rd.
 
Theft – A wood chipper was reportedly stolen from a residence on Hwy 81.
 
Theft – Two red and white Honda XR80 dirt bikes were taken from a shed on Cedar Ridge Rd.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Alexis Way in Alcovy Bluff subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Damage to Property – Unknown persons reportedly damaged a fence on New Hope Church Rd.
 
Fraud – A report was made on Mystic Drive in reference to unauthorized transactions being made on a debit card.
 
Zone 6
Burglary – After Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on GA 20 at the Country Store, it was discovered that a burglary had occurred. The glass door was broken out and items were taken. The case was turned over to the Criminal Investigations Division.
 
Theft – A check was reportedly stolen from a mailbox on Rabbit Farm Rd.
 
Harassment – A subject was arrested on Highway 78 for Disorderly Conduct after a harassment report was made.
 
Damage to Property – Car parts are reportedly being left in the driveway at a residence on Hwy 20. The parts are causing flat tires on vehicles entering and leaving the residence.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Holly Ridge Drive in Cevera Lakes subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Suspicious Vehicle/Person – On Holly Ridge Drive in Cevera Lakes subdivision, a foot chase occurred between a suspect and Walton County deputies. The subject was not found; however, various types of illegal drugs were found inside the subject’s vehicle. The suspect has been named and warrants have been taken in the incident.
 

Zone 7
Animal Complaint – A dispute ensued on HD Atha Rd. after a subject shot their neighbor’s cat with a BB gun.
 
Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call at a residence on Springwood Drive in Woodlake subdivision. All windows and doors appeared secure.
 
Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Emmett Still Rd. @ Kent Rock Road. Deputies checked for the required driving criteria: valid driver’s license, vehicle registration and insurance.
 
Theft Report – A Halloween scarecrow and pumpkin were taken from a residence on Springview Trail. A white female with blonde hair is suspected of taking the items. The subject was reportedly driving a burgundy Dodge Charge with no hubcaps and had been going door to door selling merchandise.
 
Theft – A television, Play Station, Xbox, a laptop computer, and other items were reportedly taken from a residence on Planters Place. A suspect has been named and described in the theft.
