Carpet Cleaners Suspected in Jewelry Theft and More Walton County Sheriff's Office Alerts

The Walton County Sheriff's Office responded to the following calls Nov. 27-Dec. 1.

Zone 3

 
Firearms – Subjects off Windfield Drive in Windfield Estates reported hearing gunfire coming from the wood line. Negative contact was made with any gunfire or subjects shooting. Possibly coming from the hunting property located off Highway 83.
 
Burglary – A resident off Perry Smith Road reported someone entered a storage building and stole a pressure washer, chainsaw and a weed trimmer. The last time it was seen was about a month ago.
 
Zone 4
 
Fire Assist – A residence off Highway 11 caught fire. The scene was turned over to fire and arson investigators.
 
 
Zone  5
 
Alarm – Alarm signal off Twin Oak Place in Twin Oak Estates. Deputies responded and everything appeared to be fine.
 
Alarm – Alarm signal off Raleigh Way in River Colony Subdivision. Deputies responded and everything appeared to be fine.
 
Entering Auto – A resident off Alexis Way reported his truck was entered in front of his residence. A Browning Safari 270 semi-auto rifle with scope and his wallet were taken. The drivers’ side lock was punched to gain access.
 
Theft Report – A resident off Mountain Creek Church Road reported that his 1997 Green Ford Escort was stolen.
 
 
Zone  6
 
Theft Report – Residents off Hannah Court reported jewelry missing from the residence, possibly stolen by a subject hired to clean carpets.
 
Prowler – A resident off S. Smith Road reported someone was banging on their door. Extra patrol requested.
 
Suspicious Vehicle – A resident off Irvin Drive reported a suspicious vehicle which was a Kirby Vacuum salesman in the area.

Fraud – A resident off Bunny Court reported internet fraud in reference to a loan.
