Woodlake Baptist Church is pleased to announce that construction on their church building is set to begin. A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Sunday, September 9, 2012 at 10:00am. The new facility will be located at 3940 GA HWY 138, Covington, GA 30014.
"This is an event seven years in the making," says Pastor Jerry Grey. "We are currently meeting in a warehouse across from Youth Middle School on Hwy 81. God has allowed us to pay off our land that cost approximately one million dollars. We had help from so many friends along the way, and combined with the sacrifice from our faithful members, we are closing a new loan with Essex bank Wednesday, Sept. 5th. May God get the glory! We are so thankful and blessed! Thank you God and thank you to the faithful people of Woodlake Baptist Church."
The new venture includes a $1.7 million project for site work and a 17,450 square foot building. Construction estimates put a move-in date in mid- to late 2013. Woodlake Baptist Church is excited for the opportunity to minister to the communities in Loganville, Walnut Grove, Social Circle and Monroe.
