More About Grayson Arts and History Center
The Grayson Arts and History Center is housed in what once was the home of the town founder, J.P. McConnell. He sold it to his newphew, "Doc" Kennerly, the town blacksmith and coffin maker, in 1909, and it passed through several more hands before being acquired by the City of Grayson in 2001. The center now displays historic pieces from Grayson's early history and its founding families. The center can be rented for special occasions. Meanwhile, a gift shop helps support efforts to preserve the town's rich history.
