I was heading to check traps on the Farm this morning and had an ambulance and two sheriff department vehicles pass me. As I neared the turn off, I noticed alot of LE vehicles and Fire Department vehicles on the side of Hwy 138 near Nunnally Farm Subdivision entrance. I went down to see what had happened. A large doe deer had attempted to cross the hwy and was clipped by one car. The deer went airborne and went thru the windshield of a Dodge Ram Pickup on the passenger side. Fortunately, the driver was not hurt. Some pics are graphic.

OMG - I would have freaked out. Last week as I was going down highway 20 past Miller Bottom, in the pitch black of morning, a deer must have run out of the woods on my left side By the time I saw it, it was right at my driver's door running full speed. I kept going hoping to miss it, and it hit the back end of my car. Amazingly, no damage was done to my car! I don't know what happened to the deer since there was no where to pull over, and it was too dark to see. My heart was beating a mile a minute at that point. If THIS had happened to me, I think my heart would have stopped!
