Woman and Three Children Injured in Friday's Wreck

The Georgia State Patrol has released the names and ages of those injured in the collision in Loganville between a tractor trailer and and SUV.

A woman and three children were those injured in Friday’s wreck in Loganville.

According to Gordy Wright, spokesman for the GSP, 11-year Amelia Brown was airlifted to Egleston Children’s hospital and Aljamina Brown, 40, DJ Brown, 10, and Kali Brown, 14, were taken by ground to Walton Regional Medical Center.

The accident, that happened at midday in Loganville, was the result of a collision between a tractor trailer, driven by Trenton S. Arneson, 48, of Racine, WI, and an SUV driven by Aljamina Brown of Lithonia. The accident happened at the intersection with Highway 78 in front of the QuikTrip. Both drivers were charged, Brown with a child restraint violation and Arneson with failure to obey a traffic control device.

“The truck struck the passenger vehicle in the left rear quarter panel in the intersection,” Wright said. “Witnesses told the trooper that the passenger vehicle had the green light."

Information on the condition of the injured was not released.
