What dishes are your Thanksgiving favorites?

I like to have Honey Baked smoked turkey, Honey Baked ham, sweet potato souffle, broccoli-raisin salad, rolls, dressing, pecan pie, hummingbird or caramel cake, deviled eggs and what we call vegetable salad (green beans, onion, corn, etc.).

Turkey, mashed potatoes and gravy, green bean casserole, deviled eggs, dressing (maybe two kinds!) rolls, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, every pie you can imagine.
Man... now I'm hungry!

Two kinds of dressing? Tell me more! I'm hungry too! Maybe I'll open up a can of cranberry sauce and have some with a turkey sandwich for dinner.

We start the day with a good breakfast. We then have some dips, vegetable tray, etc sitting around for nibbling instead of lunch, and then eat our dinner around 4 -5. Dinner is Oven roasted turkey, cornbread dressing, gravy, homemade mac and cheese, collard greens from the garden, sweet potato souffle with praline topping, green beans (probably), deviled eggs, stuffed celery. For dessert (after the big meal settles a little), we usually have some kind of cake, sweet potato pie and rice krispie treats for my daughter :)

While we're on this subject will someone answer the age old question "To fry or not to fry?" I hear so much about the dangers of frying a turkey, but then I also hear it's absolutely the best way to prepare it.

DO NOT fry a frozen turkey under any circumstances. Dropping a frozen turkey into hot grease will cause an explosion. That's the only real danger. Of course a big pot of boiling grease isn't the safest thing either!

Fried turkey is wonderful, but may not be worth the trouble plus the cost of the oil. Requires lots of peanut oil, which is expensive, and you really have to make sure no kids are around, because the hot oil is dangerous.

The perfect Thanksgiving dinner is wings and beer.

You'd be a great Thanksgiving guest! If only everyone were so easy to please ...

LOL! I at least hope it's turkey wings!
