VIEWFINDER: Freedom Rally in Monroe

A small but enthusiastic crowd turned out at the historic Walton County Courthouse in Monroe Saturday for an Independence Day celebration.

With a focus on thanking those who have already sacrificed, to reminding others now is the time to put their own lives on the line to restore America to its founding principles, members of the Walton County TEA Party Patriots gathered at the Historic Walton County Courthouse Saturday for an Independence Day celebration.

The Keynote speaker was Walton County resident and nationally syndicated radio host, the Rev. Jody Hice. Other speakers included Debbie Dooley, national TEA Party leader from Gwinnett County and U.S. Rep. Rob Woodall from the 7th District of Georgia. The Kevin Ringo Band played patriotic and Christian music during the four-hour event.
