TSPLOST Failed, So What Happens Now?
The people spoke when it came to TSPLOST and the answer was a resounding no. Point taken, but what now? The traffic congestion is still there, but the money to solve it isn't.
When all the votes were tallied, taxpayers left little doubt how they felt about any more taxes — even if it was to relieve Georgia's major traffic problems. But saying "no" is one thing, deciding what to do about it going forward is another.
Patch columnist Jeff Allen gave his suggestions in his latest column "Plan B." However, solving Atlanta's traffic problems definitely requires someone to bring their A game to the table. So what are the options? In the absence of TSPLOST funding, how do you suggest your elected officials solve the transportation problems? What is your Plan B?
