Special Home Sought For a Special Dog
Bliss Animal Haven in Loganville is hoping someone with a compassionate heart will make up for the cruel abuse Naiyah, "the tripod dog," experienced before she was rescued.
If anyone deserves bliss this Christmas, it's Naiyah - the three-legged pit bull. According to the volunteers who run Bliss Animal Haven, she has a special story. The victim of a terrible act of abuse, Naiyah was left with her front left leg broken in two place and unable to be repaired. In addition, she spent two months in this painful condition with no vet care at all. Now, through the efforts of Bliss Animal Haven, Naiyah has had the leg amputated and, as they put it, "she is now a beautiful tripod dog." The volunteers who run Bliss Animal Haven in Loganville say Naiyah has been nothing but "brave, strong, sweet and affectionate through the whole ordeal."
Naiyah is a 7-month old blue and white Pit with a stellar spirit. She is "the kind of dog that just captivates people," say the the folks at Bliss. She is housetrained and crate trained and loves other dogs (of all sizes). They say she even LOVES cats! Naiyah is friendly with everyone she meets and a great ambassador for the pit bull breed. The people at Bliss are hoping that someone will fall in love with Naiyah and want to make her a spoiled member of their family. She has been spayed, heartworm tested negative and fully vaccinated.
There is an adoption fee $150 and a home check required as in the case in all pit bull adoptions. Click here if you can provide that special home.

oh my goodness what a sweet baby. I wish I could take her, but I just can't right now. I am sure she will find a very good home soon!!!!

I hear you! I told my husband if we had the right facilities, we would have had a new baby for Christmas. He would love a dog too, but we sometimes go away and can't take a dog with us. The cats can take care of themselves for a couple of days but a dog can't.
