Shots Fired; Semi, ATV Stolen; Suspicious People, Vehicles in WCSO Reports

Walton County Sheriff's deputies also responded to several false alarm call outs during the period Feb. 8 - 11, 2013

 

Walton County Sheriff's deputies responded to the following incidents during the period Feb. 8 - 11.

Zone  1

  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Alcovy Station Road.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – A white passenger vehicle was seen in the cul de sac in the Downs at Ammons Bridge subdivision. The vehicle was gone when deputies arrived.
  • Suspicious Person – A suspicious person was seen in the area of Liberty Hill Church Road and H D Atha Road. The subject was identified.
  • Firearms – Shots were heard on H D Atha Rd.
  • Stolen Vehicle – A semi-truck was taken from a business on Hwy 138.

Zone  2

  • Suspicious Vehicle – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Knox Chapel Road.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Darrel Drive.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Tan Yard Road.
  • Extra Patrol – Complaints were made about tractor trailers using Arnold Dairy Farm Rd. as a cut through. Extra patrol requested.

Zone  3

  • Suspicious Vehicle – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Hwy 78 at Jacks Creek Road.
  • Juvenile Problem – Juveniles were seen driving a golf cart in a vacant lot in the Clearwater subdivision.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Vasco Adcock Road. A vacant residence was found unsecured. Deputies checked the residence and found everything secure.
  • Arrest – A subject was arrested for DUI on Alcovy Road. This is his third arrest for DUI within a week.

Zone  4

  • Burglary Attempt – A garage window and the door leading into a residence on Broach Road were found open. The resident was home in the basement and heard someone walking upstairs. Nothing appeared missing.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Apalachee Trail.
  • Area Check – A loud “boom” was heard in the Highway 11 area.
  • Theft – An A/C unit and well pump were stolen from an abandoned residence on Wall Road.
  • Speeding Auto – Paper delivery vehicle was reported speeding in the Smokerise subdivision.
  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Old Baccus Road in reference to suspicious vehicles and activity.

Zone  5

  • Suspicious Vehicle – A dark colored truck, pulling a trailer full of pine straw, was observed driving through the Arbor Springs subdivision. No contact was made.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Greenridge Way off Bullock Bridge Road. The residence was checked and cleared by deputies.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to multiple alarm calls at a residence on Highland Way.
  • Vehicle Accident – An accident involving three vehicles occurred on Oakmont Way.
  • Disturbing the Peace – Subjects were reportedly disturbing the peace on Hickory Grove Church Rd.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – A suspicious blue Mercury Sable was reported in the Fisher Drive area.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Hwy 78 at New Hope Church Rd.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Hwy 81 at Double Springs Road.
  • Extra Patrol – Suspicious vehicles were reported in the Double Springs Road area.
  • Firearms – Gunshots were heard on Tipperary Court.
  • Prowler Report – On Tiffany Lane, a resident fired shots into the air when a subject knocked on their back door. The subject was at the wrong residence.
  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check on Hwy 81 at Forest Falls Drive.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – A green passenger car and a gold “king cab” truck was seen at a vacant residence on Charleston Avenue. The vehicles were gone when deputies arrived. The residence was secured.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – Subjects were seen on Trotter’s Lane inspecting a property in reference to a cleanup job. Everything checked out once deputies arrived.
  • Firearms – A complaint was filed on Bold Springs Road in reference to a subject firing bullets towards a property while target practicing. The rounds nearly struck a homeowner. No charges were filed in the incident.
  • Suspicious Person – Hispanic males were seen at a foreclosed home on Coastal Lane. Deputies confirmed they were at the residence to paint.
  • Extra Patrol – Extra Patrol was requested on Springs Drive in reference to suspicious vehicles in the area.
  • Trespassing – Subjects were reportedly driving trucks through the mud in an undeveloped subdivision on Etchinson Road. The subjects were warned for Criminal Trespass.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call in Rambling Woods subdivision. Everything checked out fine.

Zone  6

  • Lost or Stolen – Three dealer tags were lost or stolen from Coles Automotive on Hwy 78.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Hwy 78 at Andrews Pest Control.
  • Suspicious Vehicle – A suspicious vehicle was reported on Broadnax Mill Road Youth Monroe Road.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Claude Brewer Road.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm on Linda Drive.
  • Burglary – Tools were taken from a barn at Youth Mobile Home Park.
  • Fire – On Double Springs Road, a power pole was struck by lightning and caught on fire.

Zone  7

  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Greenfield Lane.
  • Locked Keys – Walton County deputies assisted a homeowner who had locked keys in their vehicle.
  • Trespassing – A criminal trespass warning was issued to a subject on Floye Drive.
  • Theft – A firearm was stolen from a vehicle on Silverthorne Court.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Copper Ridge Drive.
  • Extra Patrol – Extra patrol was requested on Kathleen Lane in reference to copper thieves targeting a vacant residence.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Hwy 138 @ Glenda’s Bar & Grill.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Cotton Lane in the Fields at Shiloh.
  • Safety Check – Walton County deputies conducted a safety check Centerhill Church Rd. @ Kent Rock Road.
  • Firearms – Shots were fired in Lake Shore Estates.
  • Firearms – Gunshots were heard in the Weston Way subdivision.
  • Juvenile Problem – Juveniles were reportedly walking in the roadway on Kent Rock Road.
  • Alarm – Walton County deputies responded to an alarm call on Monticello Drive. Everything checked out fine.
  • Shots Fired – Gun shots were heard on Magnolia Drive. No contact was made.
  • Theft – An ATV was taken from a residence on Oscar Barton Road.
