Some local residents got a special July Fourth treat in Loganville. They got to salute the sun from the middle of the lake in Meridian Park in a standup paddleboard yoga session.
Megan Kearney, aka Mobi Yogi, has regular yoga sessions on the lake for ages 12 and up. You can choose a sit down or stand up session. Times and prices can be found online at www.themobiyogi.com. Kearny is offering a special introductory offer for July. She said while first timers are always free, in July for every friend you bring to class who purchases a class pass, you will receive a KARMA COIN (good for one free class).
Kearney, has been teaching yoga since 2010. She holds a degree in sports management from the University of Maryland and has been a USAT Level I triathlon coach, swim coach, personal trainer and group fitness instructor. Her real passion has been yoga and her new passion is standup paddleboard yoga. Walton County Parks and Recreation has allowed Kearney to use the lake at Meridian Park to bring this variation of yoga to Loganville.
