New Voting Precinct for Some Loganville Residents

Voters in Georgia House District 107 will cast ballots Feb. 7 for one of four candidates vying for the seat vacated by Rep. Len Walker. Some Loganville residents have to vote at a new precinct.

As the election season gets under way, Loganville-Grayson Patch will bring you information on all the races that impact residents in the local area. Besides being a presidential election year, there are many other races to be considered in both Gwinnett and Walton counties at the city, county, state and national level.

The first one is just around the corner on Feb. 7 with four candidates from Loganville vying for the Georgia House District 107 seat vacated by Rep. Len WalkerTom Kirby, Paul Smith, Mark Banks and Michael Lynch.

Voters who previously voted at the Loganville South Precinct at the Loganville American Legion Post 233 may have to vote at a different precinct this time around. Jennifer Phipps  with the Walton County Board of Elections said the precinct has been split.

“The new precinct is called Oasis. The voting location is The Oasis Church,” Phipps said. “Voters can go to the Secretary of State website and enter their name and date of birth and get their correct voting location. Here is a link to the site:  http://www.sos.georgia.gov/MVP/Login.aspx. If they don't have Internet access, they can call the office and we can check for them. Our number is 770-267-1337.”
