Loganville and Grayson Could See Snow Showers by Sunrise Saturday

No weather alerts out, but the hourly forecast is calling for snow showers from 6 - 11 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 16, in Loganville and Grayson.

 

The National Weather Service has not issued any alerts for the local area, but does warn of a slight possibility of snow showers from 6 a.m. to 11 a.m. in Loganville and Grayson Saturday morning.

The hazardous weather statement issued at 12 noon on Friday reads, in part:

A SURGE OF ARCTIC AIR WILL PUSH INTO THE REGION ON SATURDAY. SCATTERED SNOW SHOWERS ARE POSSIBLE ACROSS NORTH GEORGIA SATURDAY AS TEMPERATURES REMAIN IN THE 30S. SNOWFALL UP TO ONE INCH IN THE HIGHER ELEVATIONS ARE POSSIBLE. HOWEVER...SOME LIGHT ACCUMULATIONS OR DUSTING OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE ON GRASSY AREAS OF NORTH GEORGIA. STRONG GUSTY NORTHWEST WINDS WILL USHER IN THE COLDER AIR. WINDS OF 15 TO 20 MPH WITH GUSTS TO AROUND 30 ARE POSSIBLE SATURDAY. SOME HIGHER GUSTS WILL BE POSSIBLE IN THE MOUNTAINS. 

In its hourly forecast at 8:30 p.m. on Friday for Loganville and Grayson, Weather.com reported a 30 percent chance of precipitation with snow showers expected from 6 - 11 a.m. There is a possibility of a dusting, but no accumulation expected.

Weather Men or Weather Ladies, Were Wrong, I was up at 11:00 PM Friday Night, Was not that cold, Up at 1:30 AM Saturday, Temperature 44, At 5:00 A.M. When I left Home Same Temperature no Wind, it was Calm. When I arrived at Office Temperature was 41, Slight Wind, So we are Working outside today.

Ben, weather men or weather ladies were wrong, AGAIN. I think we are doomed. I don't see any snow this season. Ugh! A dusting would work just fine for me, but not none at all.

Ben, if you're working outside dress warm though. There is a wind advisory for this afternoon and that will probably make it pretty cold.
