Local Dentist Donating $10,000 to School With the Most Votes in Online Contest

Buford dentist Ashley P. Curington will give $10,000 to the Georgia K-12 school that receives the most votes by midnight, Jan. 31, 2012.

A local dentist has pledged $10,000 to the school that receives the most votes in an online school spirit award contest.

Buford dentist Ashley P. Curington said she created the Georgia School Spirit Award Program as a way to assist her patients and their schools.

“I’ve been practicing dentistry for more than 15 years and have formed lifelong relationships with many people all across Georgia,” said Dr. Curington in a released statement.

According to the press release, the program is designed to support education in Georgia with an unrestricted use cash donation for the school demonstrating the most spirit through online voting. The winning school’s principal and a selected student will be featured in an upcoming 2012 issue of Gwinnett Magazine.

Any brick-and-mortar Georgia K-12 school is eligible. No home or online schools will be considered. To vote, visit the school spirit award program website. Voting is not limited. Each participant may vote as often as he or she likes. Voting ends at midnight on Jan. 31, 2012.

We have used Dr Curington for our dental needs and she and her staff are excellent. She is the best choice for cosmetic dentistry as well. I will be looking in to the contest at her sight to see what information will be necessary from each voter. It is good to see a professional interested in supporting our educational system.

Hi Cynthia - No information is required other than your choice of school. Just click on the "school spirit award program website" link in the article and it will take you straight to the voting page. Just select your school of choice from the drop down menu and click done. It is an incredibly easy contest to enter. Hopefully one of our Dacula-area schools will win.

I voted for Ivy Prep. It's not where my kids went/go to school, but I really feel they would make the best use of the funds with their current economic situation this current school year.
