Kirby Announces Re-Election Bid for Georgia District 114
Tom Kirby, fresh off his recent victory in the special election runoff, is announcing his candidacy for re-election in Georgia State House District 114.
After serving in the Georgia General Assembly for just a few months, Rep. Tom Kirby is back on the campaign trail.
In a press release, Kirby has announced he will be running to hold onto the seat he recently won following the resignation of Rep. Len Walker. Because of redistricting, the seat is now District 114 and includes portions of Barrow and Rockdale counties as well as Gwinnett and Walton.
Kirby already has some competition in the July 31 Primary. Republican Rodney Upton from Rockdale County has also thrown his hat into the ring.
Kirby, who has been making the rounds updating residents of the business of the legislature, a promise he made during the campaign, said he is excited to represent residents in Rockdale and Barrow County as well.
“I am committed to represent you, to be available and accessible to you, and to be responsive to your needs," Kirby said in the press release. "I am humbled by the trust the voters have placed in me, and I ask for your support so that I can continue the responsibility of serving you.”
