July 4th is a big day in my life. In 1996 I became a naturalized American citizen and there has never been a day since that I haven't felt 100 percent that I am where I belong. This is my country and today is the day, every year, that I get to reaffirm that.

What an awesome day ! A big THANKS to all who planned so hard to put this parade on, to all it's sponsors, and to all who came out to support our community.

Great to see you there David. Phew, I thought I was never going to get these pictures up. Anyone else who took pictures today, or takes tonight of fireworks, backyard barbecues, anything uniquely July 4th, please share here - we'd love to see them.

That would be my husband that is saluting, but aside from that lets give Jerry Golden a big big big pat on the back. What a good job planning and everyone else that had anything to do with it. What a great showing for Loganville. Thanks so much. You all made us proud.

Thanks to American Legion Post 233 for being such a participant in the parade. Thanks SFC Mark Allen and family for making us proud. Without you our world would not be what it is. Thanks to his wife and family for such a great support system for us all.

Sue, what's your husband's name? Let me know and I will add it. There were just too many pictures to put cutlines on all of them, but I will be happy to add his name for you.

Jerry and Nancy Golden, the Parade Committee and the Loganville American Legion put on a great parade yesterday. Thanks to everyone who made this possible. I look forward to another Legion sponsored Independence Parade next year. Mike Jones, Loganville City Council
