A Grayson resident was the recipient of the Atlanta Braves Diamond of Hope Award recently for his support of an important person in his life during her battle with breast cancer.

Gregg Moss, of Grayson, received the 2011 Atlanta Braves Breast Cancer Awareness Day Diamond of Hope Award. The Diamond of Hope Award recognizes caregivers (i.e. medical professionals, family, and friends) who have made an impact in the lives of breast cancer survivors.

As her caregiver, Moss was nominated by Cathy Lewis, who was diagnosed with breast cancer in November of 2009. Moss has supported her through every doctor’s appointment and chemotherapy treatment while maintaining a full-time job and handling the cooking and cleaning around the house.
