Grayson City Council is Back up to Full Contingent

Former Grayson city administrator, Laurie Anderson, was appointed to a post on the Grayson City Council at Monday's meeting.

With seven months left in the term of former Grayson councilman David Schroder when he resigned from the council on May 21, the Grayson City Council has been operating with one man short. Although three council members is all that is required for a quorum, council members said Monday it was necessary to appoint someone to serve on the council for the remaining five months of Schroder's unexpired term.

Former Grayson city administrator Laurie Anderson was nominated and accepted the position. She was sworn in by Mayor Jim Hinkle and immediately took her seat on the council. If Anderson wants to continue past the end of the year, she will have to run for election to the post in November.
