UPDATE: "All clear" called at Grace Snell Middle School Evacuated

UPDATE: All clear called and students are returning to class. Threat was called in just before 9 a.m.

Grace Snell Middle School in Loganville was evacuated just before 9 a.m. this morning, according to Gwinnett County Public School director of Media Relations Jorge Quintana. The all clear was called just after 10 a.m. and students were returned to class.

"Grace Snell MS is currently evacuating as a precaution due to a threat that was called into the school," Quintana said. "All students are safe and nothing has occurred at the school. The school has evacuated just as a precaution. Emergency personnel have responded and will check out the building prior to returning students to class.

Quintanta said as the school is currently evacuating to check out a called-in threat, all arriving buses are being held at Magill Elementary School. He said during this evacuation, parents will not be permitted to check out their students or take students off the bus.

Susan, based on the information so far, it appears this is more of a precautionary measure. I will update as soon as I hear anything more from Jorge Quintana.
