Final Arrangements Announced for Loganville Fallen Hero

There will be a memorial service in Loganville on Aug. 21, 2012 for Maj. Walter David Gray, 1992 graduate of Loganville High School, who was KIA in Afghanistan on Aug. 8, 2012,

 

There will be a funeral service in Colorado on Friday for Loganville fallen hero Maj. Walter David Gray and a memorial service in Loganville on Tuesday, Aug. 21. Gray will be buried in Arlington National Cemetery on Aug. 24.

The memorial service in Lotanville will be at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 21, at the First Baptist Church of Loganville on Tom Brewer Road.

Gray is the second graduate of Loganville High School to die in action during the current wars in the Middle East. Sgt. Michael Stokely was killed by an IED in Iraq in 2005. Gray was one of three American servicemen killed by a suicide bomber in Afghanistan on Aug. 8, 2012. He leaves behind a wife, Heather, and three children. Some members of his family still live in the home he grew up in on Miller Bottom Road in Walton County. Gray was a 1992 graduate of LHS.
