Dick's Sporting Goods Suspends Sale of Some Guns
The national chain, with three locations in Gwinnett County, made the move after Friday's school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut.
Dick's Sporting Goods, with Gwinnett-area locations in Loganville, Buford and Peachtree Corners has stopped selling some semi-automatic rifles to show respect for the victims in last week's school shooting in Connecticut, CNN reports.
It's not known when the stores will return to selling guns in the category of "modern sporting rifles," CNN says.
The shooting in Newtown, Connecticut, which killed 20 children and six adults, has re-ignited a national debate about gun control. Local Patch bloggers have also weighed in, both for and against new regulation.
Do you think more stores should suspend sales of semi-automatic rifles?

All they are worried about is thier bottom line, this is how you lose customers. Sorry the truth is the truth. Looks like these customers will have to go to a real gun store that has a backbone.

The next purchase I make at a sporting goods store will be at Dick's. They put aside Seasonal Greed to show respect for the CT shooting victims and their families...such a selfless act of kindness!!! Thank you Dick's Sporting Goods!
