The county is hiring facility attendants and a park attendants.
Job title: Part-time facility attendant (Centerville Community Center and Norcross Health and Human Service Center)
Job duties:
- Oversee day-to-day operation of facility including supervision of program participants, monitoring rentals, center programs, activities and camps in a variety of areas while assisting the public with questions, responding to phone calls, taking registrations, etc.
- Assist with program implementation or development; create flyers and other promotional materials; process class and rental registration fees and contracts.
- Assists citizens with questions regarding programs, special events; processes registrations and collects fees; aids with website information; provides facility tours; completes rental contracts, etc.
- Able to travel to offsite locations or events in support of center business.
- Set up facility, grounds, and rooms for classes, camps, and special events.
- Maintain facility inventory, office supplies, equipment, etc.
- Housekeeping duties at the Centerville Community Center include sweeping, mopping, removing refuse from center or walking trail, vacuuming, and other related custodial duties as needed.
- Performs other duties of a similar nature.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or college degree
- One year of experience in programming, event planning, supervision, customer service, scheduling experience
- One year of clerical support to include handling funds, book and record keeping, and proficient Microsoft Office experience
- Must be available to work a variety of hours, Monday through Saturday
- A valid Georgia driver’s license is required
- CPR/First Aid/Defibrillator Training to be obtained within first six months of employment

Job title: Part-time recreation park attendant (various locations)
Job duties:
- Maintains facilities and grounds by sweeping and mopping floors, removing trash, vacuuming and performing related custodial duties
- Pick up trash in high impact areas and pick up trail debris and maintain trails
- Assists customers and residents with general questions and concerns regarding event location or facility problems
- Assists with program registration by answering phone calls, processing registration fees, completing rental contracts and making deposits
- Cleans restrooms and pavilions throughout park system
- Assists in overseeing work performed by court mandated CSW or volunteers
- Performs other duties of a similar nature or level
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED
- General laborer experience in maintenance, related recreation support experience and janitorial services
- Valid Georgia driver’s license
- Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays
- This job entails fiduciary responsibility and will require a credit check.
