CCA Students Head Back to School This Week
Students at Covenant Christian Academy have just a few days left before hitting the books for the 2012/2013 School Year. Friday, Aug. 3, is the first day of the new CCA school year.
Covenant Christian Academy is the first school in the area to head back to school. Open House is on Thursday, Aug. 2, and classes start the following day.
"Covenant Christian Academy is ready to get the new school year started," said CCA Elementary School department head Leigh Peters. "And what better way to start off the year than by coming to Open House/Orientation on Thursday, Aug. 2nd and seeing all your old friends, making some new ones and finding out who your teacher is! And while you are here please make sure you visit the different tables set up in the gym where you can sign up for various activities."
Peters said there are three times for "Drop-In" orientation on Aug. 2. These are:
- 9-11 a.m.
- 1-3 p.m.
- 4-6 p.m.
"Please keep in mind that all K5 parents/students should attend the 4-6 orientation time as they must attend a special meeting with the teacher at 5 p.m," Peters said.
The first day of school for CCA will be the next day, Friday Aug. 3, 2012. There will be a noontime release for the first day of school.
Covenant still has a few openings for students – if you are thinking about Covenant, stop in and see why at Covenant Christian Academy we say, 'we are more than a school, we’re family,' and enjoy a personal tour of our school, Peters said.
Gwinnett County Schools are the next to return, with classes scheduled to start on Monday, Aug. 6.
