Around the Region: Deputy Nabs Peeping Tom, Children Found Living in Filth and Movie Begins Filming in Cartersville

A man has been arrested by the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office and charged with being a peeping Tom when he allegedly used his phone to photograph underneath a woman’s skirt at a restaurant in Cumming, according to a press release.
According to Forsyth County Sheriff Ted Paxton, Stephen M. Roegge, 55, of Alpharetta has been charged with one count of Peeping Tom and one count of unlawful eavesdropping or surveillance. Both are felonies.
An undercover Forsyth County investigator happened to be in a restaurant, standing in line to place his order, when he saw Roegge, seated in a chair, place his cell phone directly under the skirt of a female who was standing in line. Roegge then began taking pictures.

Woman Let Children Live With Roaches, Sewage and Mold – Smyrna Patch
A Smyrna mother was arrested Friday for allowing her home on Gray Road to become infested with roaches, mold and raw sewage, Cobb police said.
Conditions in the home were so hazardous that the three children aged 5, 14 and 17 had to be hospitalized for heat exhaustion, rashes and lesions. The home did not have a working air conditioner.
