Afternoon Commute Unlikely to be Impacted by Lawrenceville Train Derailment
Train derailed near Sugarloaf Parkway and Lawrenceville Highway. Police say afternoon commute shouldn't be impacted.
Gwinnett County Police Department is assisting in a train derailment near Sugarloaf Parkway and Lawrenceville Highway. According to a GCPD press alert, four or five cars belonging to CSX have been derailed and are on their sides. However, it is not believed to be a HAZMAT incident nor is it expected to impact the afternoon traffic as the tracks pass under both of the roads.
