The sidewalks were lined with people in Downtown Monroe on Thursday night. As part of their homecoming week activities, Monroe Area High School put on a cheerful parade with floats presented by each class to add color and pep. Leading the parade was Principal, Bryan Hicks, and followed up with Monroe Area's ROTC Unit.
Along with the Marching Hurricane Band and Carver Middle School's Marching Wildcats, the Purple Cane' cheerleaders and football players got a break from their normal practice and daily routines to participate in the excitment.

Good God! Didn't I see that green car in a Snoop Dog video? You wouldn't catch me riding in that drive-by target. Just how far does the driver need to be from the steering wheel? Was anyone run over in that parade?

Now, Rex ... LOVE the green car! Classic cars are always a welcome part of every parade and convertibles are pretty much like being in a parade everyday! Besides, not everyone can drive a really cool Miata like ME!

That was a classic car. Now it looks like a crack mobile.
