Local Student Receives 2012 National Achievement Scholarships
Fifteen students from the GCPS Class of 2012 have been selected as National Achievement Scholarship recipients, according to the National Merit Scholarship Corporation.
This program provides scholarships to outstanding Black American high school students who have the strongest record of accomplishments and are considered as having the greatest potential for academic success in college.
Over 800 outstanding Black American high school students from across the country will receive scholarships totaling more than $2 million dollars and 15 of those seniors are from Gwinnett.
Congratulations to the following student from the Grayson area who was among those receiving a scholarship:
