Children's Healthcare of Atlanta's Orthotics and Prosthetics Program Hosts McKeever's First Ride

Individuals of all ages who utilize prosthetic and orthotic devices are invited to register to attend and participate in the fourth annual McKeever's First Ride. This event is an equine (horse) assisted adapted sports clinic hosted by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Orthotics and Prosthetics Program and Deenie McKeever and the Orthotic-Prothetic Activities Foundation.

The clinic will be held on Saturday, April 21 from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. and will include activities such as patients interacting with horses, therapeutic riding and carriage driving, mini horses, roping, arts and crafts and more.

The clinic hopes to provide participants with an experience of the healing powers and benefits of horses. The event will be held at the Gwinnett County Fairgrounds and there is no charge to participate. Space is limited so attendees must sign up to attend.
