Adoption Explosion Ends with a Huge Block Party on Saturday, July 28

During the month of July the Gwinnett County Animal Shelter has been hosting an "Adoption Explosion." During this time the shelter has offered adoptions that typically cost $90 at a discounted rate of $30, which covers spaying/neutering, the first round of shots and microchipping. There have currently been 304 adoptions since the beginning of the Adoption Explosion on July 7.

The end of this month long event will be held on Saturday, July 28 and will feature a huge block party at the Animal Welfare and Enforcement Center beginning at 10 a.m. and ending around 3 p.m. The celebration will include a live DJ, inflatables, games, crafts that cater to animals and rescue groups with animals available for adoption. This will be the last opportunity for community members to adopt pets for the $30 fee.
